Day 7! Time for Some Stretch Goals!

It's day 7, and if you haven't heard already, the game got FUNDED last night and we reached above $30,000!!! Just before a week was up too. This means our next big goal is the full-time stretch goal, my personal biggest goal for the game. But we also have a lot of sweet stretch goals along the way to that big one.
If the game makes $120k it will be coming out 2 years earlier because I will get to put my all into the game and not have to support myself financially separately from this Kickstarter. This is the loosest stretch goal, so if we get close, I might still be able to meet it somewhere in the middle with work or funding sources on the side! But that's the next big one and we've got it in our sights now!
Time to reveal our first two stretch goals!
First up is our Difficulty options and Nuzlocke mode! A lot of monster tamers don't have enough of this! Grimmlins Tale difficulty options will include a setting for level skewing above and below the normal set levels. It will also feature togglable settings for hardcore players and players who would like to be able to relax more in the game. I will also be adding some fun settings with these like a randomizer setting. Customize your game to be as challenging and fun in a way that's best for YOU!
What is a Nuzlocke mode you might ask? A Nuzlocke challenge is a popular optional challenge in games like Pokemon, where instead of having your monsters faint and be able to fight again after being healed, the monsters can never be used again if they are knocked out. This would be insane as is in Grimmlins Tale, so it will likely have some adjusted rules to make this feel more like a balanced, hardcore experience. The first thing I'm planning is to try out a lives system for your grimmlins, since grimmlins getting knocked out all the time is more out of your control in this game as opposed to turn based games like Pokemon.
Our second stretch goal is 20 more grimmlins! This one is mostly pretty self explanatory. Grimmlins are very deep for monster tamers since they have their own platforming mechanics, move sets, ability sets, 12-15 animations each, a step form, and much more. Because of this, my minimum planned number of grimmlins is 60 for the game upon release. But with this stretch goal, I'll be able to pay for more other things that will free up more of my time and allow me to make at least 80 grimmlins for the game! Let's get more Grimmlins that we love so much in the game, everyone!
Onto the grimmlin reveals for the day! Yesterday's grimmlin was Clockodile! A toy robot crocodile possibly from the future? Nobody knows how they're here in Never Everland really! Their technology is ahead of this world's time. Clockodile is water and arcane type and based on the crocodile from Peter Pan. It is also the evolution of our adorable little guy, Reptoyle
But who's this next grimmlin going to be? Let me know what fairy tale you think they'll be from in the comments!
Big day! But that's all for now! I'm so happy we can push this train beyond the $30k so early in the campaign. Keep on pushing and spreading the word! We're going to the moooooooooooooon!!!

WE'RE 100% FUNDED!!!!!!!! We made it past our $30,000 GOAL EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!
Out of nowhere too! We've been on a gradual climb for the last few days, but my family just went all in and purchased the Legendary Grimmlin Designer tier, pushing the campaign over the edge!!! And because of that and everyone's support up until now... We did the thing!!! We made the monies!!! Grimmlins Tale is getting made!!!!! And just barely within 1 week too!
I want to say thank you all so so so very much from the bottom of my heart for everyone who has helped me and the game reach this point. For all of my community members and my friends, it was amazing seeing names pop up in the pledge list, recognizing them, and directly feeling the love you all have for me and the game. I've never felt so believed in in my entire life. I'd like to especially thank my family because they helped start everything strong just like everyone else and made me feel believed too. Seeing my siblings and parents give those earliest chunks to the campaign really touched my heart in a way that brought me to happy tears which I'm not sure I've ever experienced in my life before. But I am also especially thankful to them for them tipping the campaign over the edge just now so that we can reach much greater heights. Because of that, we can keep this train rolling into stretch goals and potentially a point where I can actually pay myself for my long hours through development working on my dream full-time!
We have much more ahead of us, everyone! Get ready for stretch goals next as we shoot for that faster timeline! Expect some info tomorrow!
Day 7 begins!

We are on the last day of the week!!!
Less than 24 hours and we'll be one week through the campaign!!! We got a nice boost yesterday jumping from 74% funded to 77%, so we have less than a quarter left to being funded! I can't wait to talk stetch goals with everyone! Who knows! Maybe we'll make it to 80% or beyond before tomorrow! The milestones keep on coming.
Moving on to our grimmlins for the day! Yesterday's was the oh-so-cute Sleepea! Sleepea is based on The Princess and the Pea and is mental type. A friend of mine pointed out that a clam would be an excellent basis for a princess and the pea monster. The pea could be like a pearl, and pillows or a bed can be like the clam shell tops and bottoms. And thus, sleepea was born!
Sleepea closes its pillows when it's time to sleep! The problem is, it looks like a pair of cozy pillows ready to sleep on when it does this! Sometimes a grimmlin or shade will attempt to rest their head on them unassumingly. When this happens, Sleepeas cry with psychic energy, harming the ability of surrounding creatures to turn their brain off and actually get to sleep. Poor baby.
Who's the next grimmlin and which fairy tale do you think they're going to be from??? Let me know in the comments!
That's all for now! See you at the one week mark tomorrow!
Day 6! Almost One Week In!

Hello day 6!
Welcome to day 6, everyone! We've almost gotten through a week of the campaign. Time sure does fly by when you're constantly refreshing a Kickstarter page! We're extremely close to that 75% now, so please spread the word about the game and its Kickstarter campaign however you can and support if you haven't! Both of these things go a long way, and I'm already super appreciative about the support and sharing I have already heard from my friends, family, and community. We've got this!
Onto the best part, the grimmlins!
Many of you guessed it, but meet Chesharade! The grimmlin inspired by the Cheshire Cat! Chesharade is evil and arcane type. It has a taste for theatrics, as its very body is seemingly non-existent and bends the laws of space itself! What do you think of Chesharade?
Which fairy tale will this next grimmlin be from? Let me know your guesses in the replies!
Thanks for tuning in! See you at the one week update!
First weekend!

Hello everyone!
Welcome to our first weekend! We're still chugging along to our 75% funded milestone as we start our 5th day of the campaign! I will start to reveal some of the game's stretch goals as we close in on our funding goal! Keep spreading the word to friends and family! It makes a big difference!
GymLeaderEd was nice enough to heavily feature Grimmlins Tale both as the thumbnail and as a major part of his Monster Tamer News segment for this week! CHeck it out and show him some love! He helps us indie monster tamers out a lot!
Watch it Here!
Moving on to our daily Grimmlin reveals, the last silhouette turned out to be Snoozard! Snoozard is a blight and wind type. It is inspired by a combination of Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty and the hag in Snow White. Two villains combined to make one powerful dragon! Snoozards eat poisonous apples that induce sleep as a primary part of their diet, but they don't have resistances to this toxin built up, so they tend to sleep most hours of most days. They have adapted automatic feeding tubes that extract the juices from these apples so that they can eat while sleeping. As a result of this, their breath becomes sleep inducing for other grimmlins and shades.
But, of course we have a new grimmlin to guess for the day! What fairy tale will this next one be from you think? Let us know your guesses in the comments!
That's all for now. Let's keep pushing strong as we approach the end of the first week! Thanks for tuning in!
